They've gotten rid of the horses out of that now, been replaced with a different sport

weightlifting has drugs all over it (not the only sport) but again not that popular and a huge smell of cheating going on. The other sport is modern pentathlon which has had huge issues with the
 Horses and boxing 😀😀

As Baldrick said, it's a threat more so than anything.

Amateur boxing isn't that attractive a proposition for young boxers, apart from the obvious dream of being an Olympic champion. Having an endemically corrupt organisation in charge of it doesn't help that.

Surely more of a sport, and more of a traditional olympic sport than skateboarding or a horse dancing, or some of the other sh*te they have in it now

Boxing's an odd one. I think for a sport to be at the olympics, it should be the main compeittion for the sport (so yes for Athletics, no for football). Pro boxing obviously has a much bigger stage in world titles, but amateur boxing is such a different sport. I wonder if it will increase the allure of turning professional for younger boxers. Or flat out reduce the appeal of boxing for young lads in Ireland as it's not a route to Olympics.

Was the problem that so many countries don't care about it? Ireland, Cuba and a few Eastern European countries always seem to over achieve. Big countires lie USA and GB do alright at tit don't they?

Disappointing for Squash but they can take it. They have now a major world squash Tourament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ireland is represented there, thank goodness.
