Does anyone else think that more Dubliners support the Irish national team than people from the country?

Seen as Dublin have quiet a big population, and LR is on their doorstep. It would certainly make sense. Us cluchies as you say have take days off work to follow the team. Not that this bothers me.

I'll explain it to you so. Supporting the national side has nothing to do with geography, population, selected days off work or anything else.I'm sure most football fans in this country support the national team regardless of attendances or anything else

Given that us Dubs have historically provided the bulk of Irish born Players in the team, despite having only a third of the population, its natural that more Dubs would support the National team Wink

Just think country people get caught up in supporting their local parish playing Gaa instead of supporting/contributing towards the national team. Its almost like a sin down here in Wexford to support ireland
