Once again the Coll & Uni. side present huge number of Domestic first team players in an All-Ireland representative side. Perception of gender equality for both squads. Prestige of Senior Womens International Manager Colin Bell also Coll & Uni Manger (like Sue Ronan before him).
For Football Fans in Ireland who want a Domestic Player dominated All-Ireland representative team with added Inclusion, there's both your teams. In Ireland the talent gap between best of Students and best Players domestically isn't very wide, we can have a discussion about the Colleges & University side representing domestic Irish Football. With a large Student population at Football-going age. In other places that influence Irish Football the talent gap is a lot wider and so because the discussion doesn't take place in these other places it doesn't influence some football fans in Ireland. But Ireland has this narrow talent gap between best of Student and best of Domestic player and it's possible for Irish Football Fans to have a discussion about the Coll & Uni side representing Domestic Football.

The FAI Colleges & Universities 20 Player squads have been announced by Colin Bell (also Senior Women's Manager) and Greg Yelverton.
http://www.fai.ie/ireland/news/world-university-games-ireland-selects-squads (FAI most likely Stephen Finn Comms Exec. also did the University/Club label for each player) Ireland Women's Squad Fixtures Ireland Men's Squad Fixtures A lot of first teamers so fair play to Player and Club for choosing the representative side over club (age old discussion). |

I'd imagine players that are on their club teams would prefer to stay and help their club out first and foremost. Was chatting to Raymond Foy before the last one and he turned down the call as he wanted to stay and help Harps to promotion

Mens quarter-finals
France 0-0 Ireland (4-3 pens) Ireland men move to the 5th-8th rank matches losing on penos. They play Malaysia today (Sunday) Women 5th- 8th Chinese Taipei 0-1 Ireland, Sophie Perry scored after 16' They play Japan on Monday in their last match and are guaranteed a 5/6 spot. Very rare for Men and Women to both qualify for the quarters in the same year. Women have a far better record. It is a vintage year for Ireland University Football. Especially the teams they were up against.

I watched him when he was an U21 regular for UCD. He scored 4 or 5 goals in a game against Bray Wanderers U21, I associate him with Bray Wanderers after that.
That's a full-time score. There is only 12 teams in Womens, 3 groups of 4. 1st, 2nd and two lucky 3rd place should qualify for quarters. Mexico 6-2 PR China was the other result in the group. I know Eurosport have the contract to carry this and have promised 120 hours of coverage. Don't know if streaming is available from them. eurosport Universiade page. Authorised Streams from the world federation FISU TV It has selected streamed events throughout each day. Team events but also including large Athletics coverage, that can be viewed in relation to the Schedule and results page on http://www.kazan2013.com/en Only Mens Football Final on July 16th appears to be the only Football on the http://www.livefisu.tv site.
