Talk now is that Kane will be offered an improved contract at Spurs. There will be a buy out clause this time i'd say. Still think Spurs will keep him for one more season anyhow.

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

So Kane had a gentleman's agreement with Levy just like Modric, Bale and Berbatov had before him. How can the same trick play out again and again, who advises these players?

We don't know for certain whether HK had any such agreement, or what conditions would trigger it. Either way, their situation is entirely different from the three you mention. For those three were all under contract, with no such agreement, when they decided they wanted to move to another club. With Berbatov and Bale, both were allowed to go when the other club met Spurs valuation. With Modric, Madrid failed to offer Spurs' price, he went "on strike", meaning he missed the first game of the season, but caved in when he realised Spurs wouldn't budge and ended up playing 36 of the remaining 37 league games of the season. The following summer, Madrid came back with an acceptable offer and off he went. If City are able/prepared to pay Spurs' price, Kane will go, if they can't/won't, then he'll stay. And from the way Spurs are spending on other players, my guess is the former.

A prime example for why you shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers, this thread in July. 'Arry's back to being the consummate professional now, according to Talksport. "He just wants to play football"

Rennes are suggesting that it is a unilateral decision by the club. Presumably UEFA will treat this in the manner they would any other game under their jurisdiction, which is cancelled without their consent.

Might save them the embarrassment of getting knocked out by a poor team in the next round

To be honest best thing that could happen as this comp is naff and would have affected their Prem form with too many games to play .

unbelievable finish to the game last night. Conte is doing some job there with a few decent players and a lot of average ones. If he is given money and time he will do a great job.
Sickener for Leceister to lose but very unprofessional of them to lose the 3rd goal. Spurs had 2 cleared off the line chances.

Unbelievable Jeff.
Some say they stole it but Kane hit the post and the crossbar and they had 11 shots on target. The manner of the win was crazy stuff though. The ratings on BBC website had Doherty rated above all other defenders. Delighted he had a decent game and a run of games at rwb should bring him on big time. NOt one for whipping in head height crosses and always goes to feet but all the same he got an assist and was a constant thorn for Leicester. Had a couple of chances to score as well. |

Apparently Spurs had the highest xG score (4.30?) of any PL game this season. Which is remarkable, considering they were consistently in the lowest 4 or 5 sides for xG early in the season. On which note, I am at a loss to understand just how awful Nuno was at Spurs, after appearing to do well at Wolves (final season notwithstanding).

Anytime i have watched Spurs at home recently, the new stadium seems to create a brilliant atmosphere with loads of noise. Most new stadiums claim they have the best sounds but are sh*t.
Teritorial what is it really like there now?

Sure it's easy when you have fan noise being played through the speakers.
