Kane and Bale should have scored in the 2nd half.

Crazy season.
I think Jose has a good chance of winning a trophy within this team.

Won't want to win that now that it only qualifies you for the Europa Conference Lge.

Will be going all out to win the Europa Lge this season, since that gets you through to next season's CL.

Mouirinho has always liked the league cup.

Because it was over by end Feb, meaning he could concentrate on the business end of the season, and the chase for the title and/or CL qualification.

But if that didn't work, winning the Lge Cup at least offered a "fallback" guarantee of Europa League football - see eg his first season at MU, where they finished 6th in the Prem, but won both Lge Cup AND Europa Lge.

Good win today and important goal for Bale.

Didn’t really deserve to win but we drew games we should have won this season - Newcastle and WH.

Play West Brom next but after that it’s a tough fixture list-

Man City
Chelsea
Arsenal
Palace
Liverpool
Leicester
Wolves

Also have European games and league cup midweek.

Kane with 9 assists now in 9 league games.
7 goals

This could be his best season.

They have to be considered title contenders. I’d almost put them favourites - . I don’t see them losing too many games and have lots of goals in them. Would be JM biggest achievement after CL with Porto.

Yes City gone and really most have said they wouldnt challenge.

Chelsea and Maureen (not Spurs LOL) biggest threat to Liverpool.

LFC reserves need a big win tomorrow.

The next few weeks will tell all -
I don’t think the squad can handle 4 competitions and Spurs really need to win a trophy.

Chelsea
Arsenal
Palace
Liverpool
Leicester
Wolves

They got 7 points from their last 3 games : Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
That’s the Jose impact - previous spurs managers would get 2-4.

I still think the main problem is too many games.
Spurs need to win something- even the league cup.

Spurs second team should beat stoke and then it’s the semi finals.  Are they still two legs.  Usually in Jan/Feb.

I think the games are good as they are keeping players match fit who are not playing premier league games.

Other Kane and Son and Alderweld the back up players in the squad are not hugely different to their 1st team counterpart.

Ideally win the league cup in Feb and then prioritise the league.

The FA cup and EL can be for fringe players only.

Said it before, but while winning the LC would be "nice", now that it no longer qualifies for the Europa League Jose is NOT going to let it risk compromising his chances in the PL, EL and FAC (in that order).

So it all depends on fitness, form, suspensions and fixture congestion whether Spurs have a proper go.
