Worrying comments from Pocchetino yesterday after the game if you were a Spurs fan.

If Spurs had gotten past Juventus and were say unlucky in 1/4s to go out, the season would be hailed as a great one

Poch signs new 5 year contract.
Huge signing that.

Levy must have promised a large transfer fund.

Absolutely massive news. Can still see 1 or 2 moving on, but this is surely a sign that the top 4/5 players at the club will be tied down to better deals if needed and that Pochetino will be able to get a couple of big signings in. Brilliant news.

Didn't see that coming tbh. Must be confident of keeping a hold of the current stars of the team, along with funds to strengthen.

Doesn’t really surprise me to be honest. Spurs are at the top table now. Champions league 3 years in a row. Settled core of a team and a very highly rated manager. New stadium and new era ahead. Levy not stupid. Easier to keep what you have. Couple of shrewd purchases to strengthen squad and get Harry scoring in August.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Would agree with all of the above, but that doesn't necessarily mean the club are going to go the way of investing and pushing on. Really hope they do, because exactly like you've said the majority of a top quality side is there already, they really only need to be getting 2/3 quality players in and maintaining the guts of what they have and they'll be a serious team again. All this messing about with players over wages etc, is just no good. It could be awhile until Spurs have a side with so much quality again, they should really be going from strength to strength in the next couple of years, even with stadium debt to be paid.

I see that a lot of Spurs fans would welcome Bale back if that comes to fruition. He was certainly the main man while he was there so it will be interesting to see what happens if and when he leaves Real.

I doubt he’ll come back to Spurs.
At 29 he has one big transfer fee left with no resale value and will demand a huge wage.

Only a few clubs could afford him : PSG/Man U/Chelsea/City etc

I was going to quote the teams involved but would take too long to quote all the reams that are bigger than Spurs

Aw, and a comment about how mediocre a team are brings out the mother comments. Bravo!
Will be all the sweeter when the big clubs come knocking, strip the manager and players from the club and Spurs go back to the mediocrity where they belong
