The only player "outside" the squad in and around his level is Manning, who is a different type of player and different age-profile.

From this remove, Cirkin would be someone to get involved, if a possibility.

Put it this way, if he was born in Belfast or Cardiff (or New York), they'd have been on to him long ago.
He isn't significantly ahead, he was in L1 last season, as was Roughan this, he is 16 months older. He is also older than Furlong who has just had a very successful loan spell in the SPL. If he wants to play for us, grand, if not I wouldn't be too concerned.

Patrick Kelly and Callum Marshall are both set to be called up by NI. Presumably means the murmurings that they were being considered for underage call ups by ourselves were true.
We're decent enough..

Great defending by Deco there.

The Bayern Munich rumours are gas, he has absolutely 0 technical ability, just runs around the pitch with 'passion'.

As much as I think he's a rat, he definitely doesn't have "zero" technical ability. He'll be picked up by a bigger side this summer, at which point the formerly smug West Ham faithful will get a well earned lesson as to the importance of loyalty to their favourite son.

Their respective names might tell a story here!

Yeah, from different backgrounds. Kelly played men’s football for Coleraine in the Irish League at sixteen, always looked likely to go across the water. Marshall made his debut for Linfield at fifteen but played fewer games before he moved. Both excellent prospects but we all know how tough it is to make it in the PL.They are good friends. Stil maybe a chance of Kelly switching, who knows.

Kelly was left out of the NI squad with a lot expecting him to be called up. Don't know if anything can be read into that though.

Irish-eligible Jobe Bellingham, younger brother of Jude, has just signed for Sunderland from Birmingham.

Currently playing U-17 football internationally with England.

He is being fast tracked by NI. He has just had an outstanding season in midfield with Glentoran and is still very young so he looked sure to get a move.

You don't think he's been approached by The FAI?

Interesting. They'll be on him like a fly on sh*t if the Portsmouth move goes well.

Shane Duffy, James McClean and Eunan O'Kane all switched after playing for Northern Ireland U21.

Darron Gibson and Marc Wilson made the jump much earlier.
