To correct myself there, having read some other posts - it may be form related.
Johansson with no game-time for Sittard this year. Don't think Finn has had much either. Garcia McNulty with no senior time and still only 18, so can play for younger sides. So, there may be a good be a case for leaving them out on form and/or age. Still, would like to see Okoflex and Sotona involved at some level!

Yeah. You reference Johansson there and he is permanently tied to us. I think that might demonstrate how much reaching your post is doing.

Rose also included in this! I wasn't necessarily hinting their commitment certainly not Johanssons. Has McNulty's comments annoyed the coaching staff? There are millions of things I could be hinting at! Bit strange they are all left out especially with the sudden influx of LOI talent in the squad all of a sudden.

Bit strange there's a travel ban between Germany and Montenegro due to the ongoing global pandemic as well, but it's probably the comments in the paper

McNulty is yet to make an appearance for the U21s in seven games. Probably wouldn't have even been brought into the squads only for Omobamidele being called up to the seniors in the summer. Who also only made his U21s debut in March of this year.
Why bring a fourth choice CB that might not even be able to go to the second game. The English lads have more chance of going, and they're all ahead of McNulty in the pecking order. Whereas Conor Noß has appeared in 6 of the 7 games so far this year since making his debut so more chance of playing in the first game even if it's the only game he can feature in. McNulty and Rose are U19s players, and if McNulty doesn't get called up for the U19s then we can really say his comments had an affect on his selection. |

Rose, McNulty, and John Patrick all dropped down to the U19s squad.

Callum O'Hare getting very good reviews for high-flying Coventry near the top of the Championship.
Did someone on here say that Stephen Kenny has recently said O'Hare is not in fact eligible?

Think SK covered this in that long Q&A he did, during lockdown. That he was either a generation removed or ineligible yes. Can't remember which as he was asked about several players, some would now be eligible under the new rules.

Dan Crowley signs for Cheltenham Town on a short term contract until January. His career seems to have gone off the rails a bit in the last year or two.

There are seven of the current Ireland squad playing in League One so maybe this move won't harm Dan's international ambitions.

Has William Hondermarck declared for Ireland?
Playing regularly in the Championship but wasn't named in the recent U21 squad

Two late sub appearances followed by not making the match day squad or getting off the bench isn't playing regularly.

I thought he had played more but regardless, he has broken through into a Championship team and is expected to play more over the coming weeks - will be interesting to see if he gets called up to the next U21 squad. Found this article from two years ago here which says "he has only recently begun the process of declaring for Ireland." |
