Maddison playing for Ireland is never going to happen but England are strong in that department of the pitch with Alli, mount, Foden, Barkley, lingard ect and it will be hard to hold down his place but still not going to play for Ireland.

Exactly, giving that sort of nonsense oxygen only encourages it. Maddison will be in the next England squad and there'll never be another mention of Ireland from his agent again.
We're decent enough..

If only! It would be the biggest coup since Clinton Morrison picked us over England, Scotland and Jamaica.

Not going to happen though!

Using ireland as leverage into the England team. Is that what we are now?

This is exactly the same rubbish that Mark Noble tried. Maddison is just giving Southgate the come pick me notice. Less than zero chance of coming over to us.

Don't think Noble tried it tbf, he was always fairly forthright that he was only interested in England. Zat Knight did the same 14/15 years ago though.

His social media profile is literally him in an England jersey. He's got a good agent, I'll give him that

Has Maddison ever indicated that he’s willing to switch? Definitely seems like pressure to Southgate. Molly-Mae must be laughing at him now.

Maddison refuses a call up by England to concentrate on his Club football lol

This saga will all be put to bed when hes announced in England's squad next week
