Positive news about Bamford. I wouldn't be getting too confident until anything is finalised. Mick effectively called him out on it and I get a sense that Bamford doesn't want to burn any bridges. If he gets promoted with Leeds before he plays for us, there is still a chance he'll hold out for England.

Would be a good addition to the team though.

According to Mick he has agreed and they are just at the stage of putting the wheels in motion. Once the papers are submitted he cannot change back even if he hasn't played for us. You can only switch once.
It's not me it's you:-)

Bamford won't ever be an England regular he might be a 10 cap man a best.
With us he could have 60 or 70 caps and would score for us could see him getting 20 goals at international level with us

If he scores 10 next season or the season after in the Premier League, he might get a nations league cap in September 2020.

I see current England U-20 international, Ben Wilmot, made his Serie A debut for Udinese today.

O'Shea has indicated earlier on this thread that Wilmot is eligible for us.  Is that actually the case or just speculation?

Because guessing people's eligibility based on nothing is just silly! There is nothing in his name to even hint at Irish heritage, so we are down to guessing that he may have an Irish connection  because he is from the same part of England, with the same complexion,  as someone that has.
Brian Deane and Corrine Bailey Rae must also be in contention.

Yes ...was tongue in cheek more than anything, but as someone who's watched him play every game this season he's turning into a hell of a player and capped by no one yet......was more wishful thinking on my part

If only, eh? We could do with all the help we could get at the moment, judging by the latest squad.
