Yes, it's a non runner. He's with the English set up. Redmond and O'Hare are also non runners. Also, they met and had a discussion with JJ Finn too. |

Liam Delap would be the pick of that bunch for me but there's as much chance me playing up.front against Serbia as there is him thinking ireland is the better option.

There does seem to be a weird aspect of Irish culture where we're desperate to claim anyone with a drop of Irish blood as Irish whether the person has a say in it or not; doesn't just happen in sports. Maybe people will finally stop babbling on about it now, after all the assertions that O'Hare not being contacted was a disgrace, and that Redmond's mother was as Irish as Fionn mac Cumhail.

Well, Redmond himself said he was eligible, so it is a bit of a surprise

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995" |

We really need to start investing in Irish football, from grass-roots level all the way up to the National league. Continuing to parasitically ponce off of the British league structure, especially post Brexit, seems a fool's game. Irish players of non-Irish descent need to be made very welcome too. For an Irish-born player like Armstrong Okoflex to even consider defecting to England is a worrying sign. But maybe that is more a reflection of Irish society at large.

He's looked alright this season in a bad defence. Has come through the English system until U21 and also eligible for Scotland.

I like him he showed a nice bit going forward which would be great for us. He has a lot of first team football played aswell. You would feel it would be along shot though as we are currently the worst of the 3 national sides he can play for. Unless there is a strong Irish connection |

Not a hope we get Gallagher. I think he is more inclined to play for Scotland if his England push doesn't come. Classy player though and is actually in with a decent shout in 2-3 years of making it to that level.

Remember Bradley Garmston? Former West Brom youth player who played almost his entire senior career at League One level. Capped four times by the U-21s. Hasn't played a game in over a year after being released by Grimsby. Strange one.
