That's different though HB.

He brags about how much better their players are, it's a sad waste of time innit. I'm 100% sure if Wembley stadium was open in 2 weeks time he'd be singing F the IRA along with the likes of Tommy Two Names.

We've had Austria and Georgian lads post here at some stage. It's an open forum.

We must be doing something right if they come back.
Apart from Terri who’s out there on his own, all of those have something to add to the forum. The Austrians and Georgians joined when we played them.

This lads sole contribution is “we’re better than you”. Bizarre. Would be like me joining a Faroe Islands forum and telling them that we’re better than them.

Maybe rein in with drawing of massive conclusions off a few harmless posts. Bit embarrassing for those of us who are more stable.

It’s a discussion forum. People are open to post whatever they want.

[QUOTE=Mr. Snrub]Stephen Kenny is meeting Patrick Bamford on Monday. Inside source, fingers crossed he comes on board.

We are in desperate need of a decent striker and I don't care if he previously turned us down (something he refutes anyway).

Let us know if you get any info on the meeting Mr.Snrub?

Bamford is on the verge getting an England call up if the media (whether it's true or not is debatable)

he will probably end up like mccarthy and redmond, get one or two call ups but never really be involved. all could have had much better careers with us, but they dont have interest in it so no point dwelling on them

But if 1 England cap made more to a player than 50 Irish ones then they're most definitely doing the right thing by declaring for England.

International football has lost its prestige, club football is king in the modern game where earning potential and contracts trump caps.

in terms of sentimentality, yes choosing the one cap is absolutely the right thing. in terms of having an international career of note though, it is not, that is what i am saying. it is the old heart vs head argument

Personally speaking, I don't think playing for Ireland right now would enhance a players bargaining power financially all too much, definitely not in The Premiership anyway.

Perhaps in the SPL, Championship etc it would carry some weight all right, so you can see why many of these English born players in the PL aren't overly keen on jumping ship.

If anything nowadays, we're seeing more and more players retiring from international duty earlier to prolong their club careers so that poses its own problems too.

Where you getting this Mr.Snrub?

I have an extremely good source in the FAI who let us know about the Covid situation hours before the Slovakia game. Look, you don't have to believe me but one of my mates knows someone in the association.
