Bet he doesn't!

The next two games are absolutely "must win" and we already have Evans and Cathcart certain to play CB in them, with Flanagan (Sunderland) or the hugely experienced McAuley/Hughes as back up.

And if we're still in the running after that, the following games are vs Netherlands and Germany, and I really can't see that he'd risk a novice like Ballard against either of those - he could get taken apart.

People seem to miss the fact that he’s 18/19 and has already impressed in his few Premier League opportunities.

Is it a goal and assist in three league appearances?

I’m not saying he’ll be the next Robbie Keane, but he could certainly turn into a decent striker.

Who’s the last Irish striker to score in the Premier League at such a young age?

He's very quick btw. Looks like he has the pace of Shane Long from what we've seen of him.

Also his finishing looks to be as bad as longs. Early days but raw pace seems to be his main asset

And the fact he has no problem getting served in an over 25s boozer.

Anyone ever hear of Marcuss Harness?

Was reading this earlier. Why is McCarthy even bothering with these guys. Hes only got 12 months left in the job and he's hardly going to throw them in ahead of whats there. Also there is far better prospects coming up through the ranks that should be given a chance,

He would have been far more suited to Trap.
