Let him declare for Ireland but don't ever call him up to a squad .....unless he goes on a season or 2 hot streak by which time he'll be getting talked about/linked with bigger clubs........see then how much he wants to play for Ireland
I have a big problem with this type scenario, he's clearly using Ireland for his career, no interest in playing for us when at Man Utd and even then waited to see how his club situation worked out .......his brother stuck with England and it's worked out for him, not so much for this fella .......there has to be line somewhere to draw Edited by gazurtoids - 30 Aug 2017 at 10:54am |

I THINK A BETTER PLAYER CILLIAN SHERIDAN..WHO SHOULD BE ALREADY IN THE TEAM ..... the HOGAN FELLOW...... ALSO THEN STOKES WHO IS ROMPING THE SCOTTISH LEAGUE...HE WILL BE THE CAPO CANONIERI THERE AND MASON |

AbuAbu, Yes, I believe that is correct - you are allowed only one formal switch of registration at a fifa-recognised age-level.
Hence Grealish could not switch back to us, even if he wanted and wasn't capped in a competitive game by England.

Good to have another option I guess. I couldn't care less about what anyone's reasons for declaring for us are. The only thing that matters for me is if he is good enough or not and currently he isn't.

Been out/Still out with a 12 month injury since last November but let's just make a judgement on someone by looking at their Wikipedia stats. How Football Manager-esque. My only issue is why is he thinking about International football when he hasn't played any Club football yet, 1 step at a time..

This is the 1st time I've ever really had a problem with anyone declaring for us. He's basically just admitted that he's trying to jump on the bandwagon to get to a WC.
Long, Maguire and Hogan are all better players than Keane anyway |

It's a no lose situation for us. If he starts scoring a few goals and begins to deliver on his talent then MON can take a look at him. If not, then we are no worse off than we are at the moment.

Its definitely a positive that he has declared. The more options the better. Still needs to prove himself though. He was more highly thought of than his brother coming up at Man U. As others have said, his record doesn't look good because of the injuries. I'm not sure how many times he's played 90 minutes but it could only be a handful.

He banged them in for Man U Reserves, think he has been unlucky with injury since he moved up to main teams.

4 championship goals is his total. Several fellas ahead of him who don't get a look in. If we're to go on goals scored, then surely Sheridan, Mason, McGoldrick, Rooney and one or two other lads hanging around the championship must be ahead.
