He got released from Oldham because the manager believed he tried to injure another player intentionally, Byrne denied this and the manager banished him. If you're going to criticise him, at least do your research.

Man have you got some Vendetta against him?

He is a 23 year old with lots of ability, time will tell wether he can make it at the upper echelons of football but he definitely has the football brain for the game, I have seen a bit of Rovers this season and particularly in the Europa league games he ran the show.

He is in the squad on merit, as I said I’m assuming you have a personal issue with him as I think it’s crazy you have changed your avatar and signature to reflect a player you seem to think is overrated

I know he probably wouldn't have played but purely as an option I don't see the logic in cutting a creative midfielder given the situation and the team we are playing.

That doesn't surprise me after his performance against Bohs last week with Mick watching.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him not getting a run against Bulgaria, or getting called up again under Mick.
