Twitter full of people shouting that he should have played today.
Maybe he should have but I'd bet most of them have never seen him play for Shamrock Rovers.

Maybe if McClean didn't get sent off he might have got a run

Reid was a mess.  Complete failure at Spurs and disappointing at Sunderland.  His professionalism was a joke.
Agreed, but ability wise he was class.

Exactly. Same with McGuire and Daryl Horgan a few years ago when they were in LOI. Now look at them.

Kenny has been at a number of Rovers games this season. He has watched Byrne live more than any other player in the squad. If Kenny thought for one second that Byrne was good enough, or would make a difference, he would play him. He might feature on Wednesday but if not, I'll accept Kenny's judgement over the usual online plonkers!

I couldn't agree more. If Byrne was seriously impressing in training then he would have appeared or will make an appearance on Wednesday.

Kenny must not be checking his Instagram that often to have seen the no-look finish the FAI uploaded from training the last day.

I don't agree with THAT, in the workplace!

Thousands of those players playing junior football or not at all.

Wasted talent.

Posted a picture on his Instagram story of him warming down at the Aviva and four rain cloud emoji clouds.

I think that tells us what we already knew.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Wink

They're probably not wrong either.
