Nobody in our team can pass like him or even think like him passing wise. Simple.

Seems to be able to make himself a yard of space that's needed to compete against this standard of opposition.

Not only should he be in the team, he should be the first midfielder on the teamsheet. All the other midfielders are a much of a muchness, he’s the only one with creativity

He does seem the only Rovers player capable of taking possession and going past an opponent, he has played well.
We're decent enough..

I'm sceptical about him being good enough for international football but tonight against higher quality European opposition, anytime he's been on the ball, he's done very well and he played a couple of impressive passes when receiving the ball under pressure and his back to goal.

His set piece deliveries were good as well so credit where it's due.

Bottom line is he needs a move next year to a league of higher quality

Agree with that. He has looked alright, as has McEneff at times.

One thing I was surprised about was the size of the Milan lads. They are much stronger than Shams and I think that's why Shams have thrown themselves down a few times.

He has tried to get stuck in at least. The gap between the two sides has to be taken into consideration.

There no shame in losing to a Serie A side. I think Shams have played well, had a few chances and passed it around well at times. Its not like Milan are all over them.

think Kenny will call Byrne up to the next Ireland squad as much for the fact that he is probably our only number 10. Conor Ronan probably still a bit early in his development to be called up to senior team but good that he got a 4 year contract with Wolves.  Byrne has not been overawed by the level of
Players Milan has so I expect to see him in the squad and feature in one of the nations league games.

Being a nice game of football. This is a fairly highly rated Milan side.
