Lads this probably a stupid question but since I've not added plasterboard etc before will ask it. I've lights and power in the shed already and all the wires are hidden inside conduit. Can the plasterboard just be added on top of them if I cut out a channel in the insulation part or whats the best approach to doing this

Yep, rent an industrial sander thingy for a few days, sand them down. And paint once you have gotten rid of all the dust. I am not the most DIY savvy, but I managed it for four bedrooms in an old gaff. The sander can take a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it it is easy enough. Until the Mrs tries to take a go in an effort to help and takes massive chunks out of the skirting boards.

When decorating a house and going from wallpapered rooms to paint, is it a big job for the painters and decoraters to strip the existing wall paper?
Have done a few rooms myself but there are a good few bumpy bits left that look like they need sanded down

Yes the stubborn bits of wall paper and glue. Basically its become very time consuming getting everything off the walls totally It would hardly be a big job for the painter/decorator to get everything off or add much to his cost i'm wanting to find out? |

soak them with hot water. Do this 3 or 4 times in the space of 5 minutes. It will come off dead handy. May as well do it yourself

hallway and backroom is laid in hard wood. Back room alone is 38 metres sq so sizeable enough job. Not something i reckon i'd tackle myself. need the pros in.

Lads any suggestions on how to unfreeze an irish water meter
no water to house this morning, got drive redone last year and told contractor about it happening before so he buried pipes a bit deeper and insulated them. so im pretty sure the freeze is on the footpath outside the house. any suggestions? |
