I understand the view of just wanting players that are from Ireland to play , instead of lads wanting to further there career.
But that begs the question :
at what cost ? maybe not cost but missed opportunity.

Would you take not qualifying for next 3 tments or someone Michu discovering he has an Irigh granfather and we get to the world Cup quarter finals ?

Just need to ask because you always get the lads who will say they want it just Irish, but presented with better what would they chose ?

Steve Walsh formerly of Leicester

John Pemberton formerly of Leeds

Still possible call up's - Marc Tierney, David Norris, Patrick Bamford, Jermaine Pennant,
Mark Bunn, Robert Elliott, Darren Ambrose, Andy Lonergan, Liam Feeney,
And I heard before Arsenal's on loan star Joel Campbell. He's played fo Costa Rica.

Pat crerand never qualified to play for us, despite both his parents being Irish. FIFA law at the time was you had to be born in the country or live in it for two, I think, years.

I posted that a couple of months ago and there was a poster saying i was wrong. He said it in his autobiography
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
