Good to see young Mark O'Brien make his first start since long-term injury for Derby today. Cunningham also made a comeback as sub for Bristol City

Excellent goal in the 90th minute to keep Newport in the football league. Padraig Amond goes down with Hartlepool, but he should have no problem finding
himself a club in L2 after another impressive season
We're decent enough..

Only 27 as well. Poor lad.

Hopefully he gets some type of academy/coaching role within the club.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Well Lads ... I have been busy ,Have my own sports show on radio now and co host a football podcast.

I just interviewed Mark and he is a top lad with an amazing inspirational story!

From Ballyfermot to Cherry Orchard to a Derby County debut at 16 to having heart surgery and being told he may never play again.
Against all odds he played on for 10 years against the likes of Virgil Van Dik,David Silva and Kevin De Bryune,Captained the Irish underage teams that included Jeff Hendrik, Matt Doherty ,Robbie Brady etc.
Scored the goal that kept Newport in the football league and captained them at Wembley in the Playoff final .. all this while he could have dropped dead on the pitch at any time!
Second heart surgery forced him into retirement at 27.

If you listen to anything today.. Listen to this!

16 years old when he made his Championship debut! What could've been.

He still had a decent career , Very honest chap and came across as a very mentally strong person, Spoke about his anxiety and fear of speaking to managers (Nigel Clough,Steve Maclaren ,Stuart McCall etc) about his condition for fear of losing his job.
