3 episodes left in George Gibney. Any similar style podcasts you'd recommend after this?

Actually thought the recent one where hector got
Thick was hilarious and was probably the best one they have done.

Tiernan is so much smarter and funnier than the other two but he controls it passively.  Hector is like a little lapdog

Their quizzes are sh*t too IMO

Must listen to the Steve Bruce one
There are three and they just go through the trio of crime novels he wrote. Subscribers get a chapter by chapter breakdown of these. The quizzes are definitely the worst, even if I enjoy the questions themselves, but the emails are probably my favourite part of the show.

The ridiculous calendar they sent me did make me laugh. Particularly David May.

I actually enjoy the emails and correspondence specials. When I started to listen to the podcast, I used to skip to the interview but the nerdiness (for want of a better word) aspect has grown on me and is now my favourite part of the show.

Hector seemed to have more of a presence in the earlier episodes and I enjoyed listening to his stories from his travel show.

Tiernan seems to have taken over lately and seems to lead more of the discussions which is why he is more central to the show these days.

Yeah, it is quite geeky but it brings me back to when football was fun and innocent.

Nicola Tallant's podcast Crime World is a good listen. The episode about the Kinahan's ties to the Dutch gangs is excellent.

Enda Coll on OTB has a good podcast about differing, fringe aspects of the football world. Usually 1 episode a week. The last few weeks have focused on the links between the far-right and clubs in Georgia, former Yugoslav republics and other places.

There's a podcast on Spotify from Mundial called Giant which is decent. Different contributors on different topics. One episode focused on McGrath and the Italian game in '94. Another was on Ronaldo's season at PSV. The episode on the United and Arsenal rivalry is good, especially for fans of those clubs.

I heard her on an one episode of The Stand and she is awful. I can only imagine the type of podcast she does. She is like a pound shop Paul Williams.

I have listened to a some of those Mundial ones. One about Yeovil, McGrath, Chester and Lutz Eigendorf's death. Well made and a nice random selection of topics.

She was on The Stand about Kinahan and she was appalling, I had to turn it off. Some of the people he chooses to have on, or his producers choose to have on make a mockery out of it.
I looked her up afterwards as had never heard of her and I would say I am being generous. I think this kind of 'journalism' is incredibly dangerous. I would also say you should expect a journalist to be literate, but that seems to be unfashionable now.

She's not the easiest to listen to but the subject matter is interesting and she's relentless regarding the Kinahan's in fairness to her.

The episode with Ioan Grillo talking about how the flow of guns from the US to Mexico plays a huge role in the violence was very good. Have heard him on Rogan before and will pick up a couple of his books over the next while.

Fairly decent if you're into Cyrtpozoology and the like

Honourable mention to Donal Fallon, of Three Castles Burning fame, for getting stuck into the Nazis. He has gone further up in my estimations. Itโ€™s a very good podcast also
