So Hibs have apparently signed a player by accident on a three year deal!
Rocky Bushiri, an absolute disaster of a defender that they had on loan from Norwich last season. Seemingly had a pre-contract obligation that if he played a certain number of games Hibs had to sign him and he played the games. Seems Hibs thought there was a further get out, that it was more of an option to buy rather than an obligation - but it turns out there wasn't and they have had to take him on even though the manager doesn't want him and he's not in their first team plans. So they have announced the signing today to the disbelief of the supporters who have seen him play. Possibly a small transfer fee paid for him also.
That seems like an unbelievably negligent way to run a football club.

Hibs in touch with their Irish roots.
Hibernian FC honoured one of the Club’s founders Canon Edward Hannan this weekend in Ireland.
Organised by the St Patrick’s Branch of the Hibernian Supporters, a group of fans alongside Non-Executive Club Director Stephen Dunn, travelled to Ballingarry in County Limerick, the birthplace of Canon Edward Joseph Hannan, to create a permanent tribute honouring the role he played in the formation of the Club.
After moving to Edinburgh in 1861, Hannan helped run St Patrick’s church in the Cowgate. Later, in August 1875, he founded Hibernian Football Club along with Michael Whelahan, serving as manager at the beginning.
