Fahey for me, he will use the ball better.
His delivery from set plays will be a huge benefit also!

I'd go with Meyler myself, good tackler, good in possession and could be invaluable when defending set pieces. Fahey only back from injury as well.

any brum fans on here? they have been atrocious of late no idea how fahey has been playing.
to be fair fahey has always looked a decent player when he has played for us and can use the ball quite well. meyler is certainly one for the future but would like to see him with some more gametime under his belt for SUnderland |

I've always wanted to see Fahey play for Ireland more but, of course, he doesn't suit Trap's style so he rarely starts.
If possession, calmness and experience is required in midfield then definitely go with Fahey. Plus, as someone pointed out, his delivery from set pieces is usually very good. The only doubt is his level of fitness. His injury kept him out of the last few matches of the Championship in May and right through the summer as well. Not sure how match fit he is.

I'd say your a nightmare to deal with when been served food. Would you like more peas? Why have you no oranges on the menu. Sorry what, would you like more peas? The oranges aren't good enough, what about your pickels? Eh ok, I'll just slowly back away |

Fahey if he's fit. No point gambling with him if there is any risk though. It would be awful to see him limp off in the first 15 minutes.

Indeed it is. Fahey all the way for this one. Meyler's way too inexperienced and gave away a lot of ball against Oman. |

Would go for Fahey as well and let McCarthy and Andrews hold. Would let us to get some sort of foothold in the game.

Fahey if fully fit for me. Glad to see Trap going for 3 in midfield after seeing us being overrun time and again against the stronger nations there.
