Just remembered this earlier
Remember the Late Late show used to be repeated on channel 4 on a weekday afternoon?

P. atrick Kielty made a name for himself doing stand-up in Northern Ireland before becoming one of the country’s highest-regarded TV presenters. The comedian, 52, will take over as host of RTE ...

Double Maxim without doubt the greatest drink in the world

Solid start from Kielty with that opening monologue
"Sometimes, sh*t happens, someone's gotta deal with it, and who ya gonna call?"

RTE doesn’t have the money to attract the big names.

Too many Nordies on the show tonight for some partitionists!

Kielty is a great host, likeable which is a must and a good Down man! Painful having to endure Tubridy for all those years.

Thought he was pretty awful. Not funny either. Poor start for me. Hes was never funny IMO anyway. Seems a decent guy though all round.

Thought Kielty did well. Unlike some of his predecessors before him he's actually got a personality and is naturally funny. You could see he was terrified at the start but as it went on he settled in.

Was Hector loaded or was it just me? He barely said a word. LOL

Thought he was good. Late late needs a reinvention anyway. They flogged the rte jokes to death though so poor writing whoever did that.

I thought Kielty did really well and was a natural.  The biggest issue was the window lickers from Tipp.

After having TLH on there was no need to have another bit of rural comedy on.

Probably should have been a female too. The 2 Johnnies are sh*te.

Not sure the pannel show format really works, or at least they need to tweek it. Vogue f**kiing Williams interrupting Jimmy Nesbit a few times when he was talking seriously
"Sometimes, sh*t happens, someone's gotta deal with it, and who ya gonna call?"
