Lots of new ways to eat waffles on here, but I just couldnt put them between 2 slices of bread. Anyone ever try fishfingers on waffles. I think it could work for me

Toasting them isn't even mentioned on the box, as someone suggested before. I checked last night as I was sticking them on the grill |

We're good at a lot of things, but when it comes to food the Irish public have not a clue what they are at. |

to be honest I wouldn't consider anybody who eats these things a gastronomic guru. They are hardly foie gras. Anyway I can't imagine any under cooked frozen food will do you any good. And they are mad from spud granules, along with other e numbers, oils, salts and stabilisers, hardly just frozen spud. You are correct though, Irish people have a history of fussiness and eating solely plain bland food and overcooked meat, possibly our greatest weakness. It has been passed on from generation to generation.

Sounds like some good outside the box thinking actually and would make no difference to how the waffle is cooked whats so ever. The only problem maybe would be excess oil build up after a while, but once the toaster doesn't succumb to excessive use from massive waffle addiction, should be grand |

It could work but I reckon you would want to be putting the waffle in the toaster a number of times. Under the grill the waffle will get more intense heat and therefore cook thoroughly whilst being brown and crispy on the outside. |

Only problem with using the toaster is some lesser waffles(tesco) tend to buckle and bend due to standing up in the toaster. This can get messy trying to get the beggers out in one piece.
Birds eye and lidl dont have this problem |

Probably due to a lack of Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose
