Just to say about whether players have done enough. I think a manager is entitled to make a call on a player like he did with st ledger and Lawrence and cox and put them in the team if he feels they are good enough and fit in.

It's not based on time served.

I would love to see a team like

                  Westwood

Kelly.        Dunne.        O'Shea       Wilson

                        Meyler

Coleman.    Whelan   McCarthy       McGeedy

                         Long

Harsh on Doyle and sledge but at the moment personally I think that's our best team. We have a lot more options then people make out and it's about time we started using them

Remember that 11 that played v Oman have never played together and I'm convinced the team v Oman would beat the team v kaz
Exactly...unfortunately i missed the game bcoz not one pub in the town had setanta! Angry...anyway by the sounds of things it was a good exercise,i just hope that Trap has realised that he cant do without Long and he can trust these lads to come in and do a job!

Would be devastated if O Shea and Ward are fullbacks now.
If Andrews came in for Meyler wouldn't be end of world either.
Cant understand why Wilson was taken off at half time. St.Ledger will definitely start.

2: From that squad do you think he picks the strongest team? - IMO NO IHO - Yes or do youthink he is delibertly picking a poor side

Where will the money come to pay off Trap (at most likely his orignal salary not his reduced one) for the remaining years in his contract ? and for a replacement who lets face it is going to be looking at ahefty enough salary given what his predecessor was on

Sorry if I am been a bit slow but is IMO me as in SteviesGranny and is IHO Trap? If so how about Newryreps opinion? Which is what I am looking for here i.e. the opinion of people who support Trap.

And I wasn't looking for a bite, just some questions I wanted to ask to the Trap faithful.

Nonsense.

We won 2-1.

We got 3 points.

Where exactly did he get it wrong?

As opposed to expressing your opinion of how he got it wrong, would you care to provide evidence in fact to back up where Trap got it wrong?

He made substitutions which changed the match.

IIRC, SAF did the same in the CL Final against Bayern Munich and won it - should he be blamed for not picking the subs at the start of the match?

O'Shea right back
Ward Left Back
Cox Left Wing
McClean left on the bench while 3 strikers were played in his positon
Playing the ball over McCarthys head the whole game
Not playing 3 in midfield as we get overrun there every game
Long not starting

We were unbelieveably lucky to get anything out of that game and anyone that says different was watching it with a blindfold on.

I'm resigned to having him until the end of the World Cup qualifiers. I think his tactics are limited and even average teams have answers to our type of play now.

He obviously has no faith in our ability to play with the ball on the floor and building up nice attacking movements down the wing with the full backs overlapping so they rarely go beyond the half way line and we play the bog ball that is terrible to watch but has limited success.

Realistically, he's not going anywhere until this campaign is over. He lives in Italy anyway so doesn't even have to listen to the Irish media/fans giving out about him and he's been a manager long enough now to not let it affect him anyway.

I was at the paralympics on Friday so sky+ the game and watched it yesterday, we were terrible full stop and anyone that thinks we can beat Germany next month playing like that is well beyond an optimistic person. Under Trap (he isn't the only one that this happens to), we play better away from home than we do at home so I expect another Russia game unfortunately.

I can't see us separating Germany and Sweden in this group playing the way we do but the FAI cannot afford to get rid of him and Tardelli so we're stuck with him until the end of this campaign, it's that simple.
