Astonishing.

Not so much for the fact that he led them to the League One title last season in his first full season in charge, though there is that, but that he only signed a new three-year deal on 25 October!

Just what the hell happened in the intervening 16 days to make him go from "Carry on, here's three more years" to the sack? Wacko

In the playoffs. I think top 2 places are already settled this year by the looks of it. Could have given him a bit more time i reckon. Pretty average squad

Burnley and Sheffield Utd far and away the best two teams in the league and even at this stage look sure to go up. You’d expect Norwich to be challenging them but they’re not. They were very poor last night against Luton with Mick McCarthy very critical on commentary for Sky. Managers just do not get time these days, last night was Smith’s last chance to turn things round.

FFS I had a hotel booked for the Saturday/Sunday.

With the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III taking place on Saturday 6 May, the EFL can now confirm its schedule for the final round of 2022/23 divisional fixtures:

  • Sky Bet League One – Sunday 7 May 2023, kick-off 12.00pm
  • Sky Bet League Two – Monday 8 May 2023, kick-off 12.30pm (Bank Holiday)
  • Sky Bet Championship – Monday 8 May 2023, kick-off 3.00pm (Bank Holiday)

We had a hotel booked and match tickets but was waiting on what the EFL had to say when the game would be played .

So yesterday changed our hotel dates and booked flights €57 out of Shannon return and £60 a night in a hotel in Burnley , it would be hard to get anything better than that . Thumbs Up
