Wigan gone into administration.
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Wigan are appealing their twelve points deduction saying that the covet 19 crisis are exceptional circumstances.

I was surprised to see Hull beating Middlesbrough this evening with a very late winner.

Some severely panorama level dodgy stuff over Wigan’s administration

Its long and complicated but the tldr version is the club has had 3 different owners since June 20th, who are all associated with the shirt sponsors KB88, who are an Asian Betting company, with substantial evidence that the 3 parties have put money on via their own Asian betting company that Wigan will finish bottom of the league, hence the filing for administration to ensure they’ll finish bottom.

Rotten to the core and then some. There's an article in today's Guardian ( page 39 ) looking at the astonishing developments behind the new owners taking ownership for £41m, deciding not to fund the club and putting it into administration the same day. Did they seriously think nobody would notice ? There will be a serious investigation into this, there has to be. In the meantime, Wigan have six games left and might confound the bookies anyway. Stinks to high heaven.

3 different owners within a fortnight - should that alone not have set off alarm bells at the EFL, before you even start wondering about their links? Confused

Absolutely horrible sh*thousery if that is proven - Wigan don't deserve to be fooked around like this. Angry

Blackburn have thrown away any hoped of a play off spot.   Tony Mowbray has to be one of the most mediocre managers in the game.  How does he keep getting relatively big clubs?

This post is about as bizarre as his looks... He's spent £5 million over 2 seasons and that was just on 1 player, and still overseen by the nonsense Venky's, done an incredible job with the circumstances.

The good news is I can't see them getting away with it. Issue has been escalated to a pretty high level with lawyers, local MP and prominent Labour MP/Mayor Andy Burnham getting involved.

They all smell a rat involved (or 3 rats in this case) and are asking the EFL to not deduct points while they proceed with criminal investigations.
