Shame to see Wednesday relegated. Always had a soft spot for then since the 90s. Classic shirts back then too. Pity for such a club.

Same here. I remember being as devastated as watching any United match back then when they lost to Arsenal in the two cup finals in 93. Loved Chris Waddle.

FA Cup semi final against Sheff Utd at Wembley. 1993 I think. Some great old games back then. Football is boring now compared to the early to mid 90s.

Derby could still be relegated under FFP irregularities.

Hope Brentford do it today. Very well run club with a large fan base who are local.
All my cousins are season ticket holders so go to a few games a season. Haven’t been to the new stadium yet so be good to see them in the premiership. They’ll probably go straight down but one season sets you up for years financially. |

It would be some escape from Wycombe if they stayed up. Unlike Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham they were considered effectively relegated before the last game of the season due to their goal difference, yet they finished 22nd in the end and might yet survive with this Derby thing.

Daryl Horgan staying in the Championship and Jason Knight being sold to a stronger side would be the best case scenario out of this. It would be unfortunate if Knight's progress was impeded by a season in League 1. He already struggled a bit in the second-half of last season so the upcoming one's important for him.

That's a deadly West Brom away shirt. Like Arsenals early 90s away one.

I see 18-year-old Fabio Carvalho of Fulham represents England at underage level despite being born and raised in Portugal and coming up through the Benfica youth academy. According to Wikipedia, he moved to England when he was 10 or 11. He's scored again for Fulham this evening.
