Mad stuff at Leeds today.
Villa player down injured, Villa players urging Leeds to put it out. Their LB slowed down as if he's going to put it out, then played a through ball to another lad who scored. Uproar ensued, Villa lad sent off in the aftermath. Bielsa then tolkd his team to concede, which 10 of them obeyed. 2 Villa lads marched down the field to score into an empty net, one Leeds player doing his best to prevent it. Never seen anything like it.

Hopefully they play each other in the final as it’ll be a tasty affair after today. Leeds were being proper ****s about putting the call out of play considering Villa had just done it for them minutes previously

They shouldn't have left them equalise. It is up to the referee to stop the game.

Think it was the right call given that they weren't going to overhaul Sheffield United anyway. It would have hyped the play offs beyond belief. Would he have done it if promotion was riding on it? Villa were diving from strat to finish and Dean Smith sides constantly engage in sh1thousery. Grealish in particular is horrendous for it. The Villa player had actually fouled Cooper rather than the other way around as they were claiming if you look at it. The ref should be making those calls unless it's a head injury. Ref was as poor as I've ever seen today for both teams, that didn't help. He had zero control. Bamford was a fcuker going down like that as well.

Yeah, from that point of view it was the easiest option, but if they needed the win they should have just played on. I just watched the highlights and it seemed the referee was allowing play to continue, it was the Villa players who seemed to be demanding it, presumably as a result of the earlier incident. |

Earlier incident was a clear foul on Forshaw that the ref ignored. Villa put it out, no one looked for them to do it.

That makes their demanding worse. I would have loved it if Bielsa had knocked Terry out.

Watched it numerous times, at no point did Tyler Roberts indicate he was putting it out of play which seems to be what the main argument was about.....he slowed down because 3 or 4 Villa players were running at him with arms raised but the ref never blew a whistle......also Klick had to beat a defender and keeper to score (they didn't stop)

Rumors Qatar wants to invest in Villa, QPR, Nottingham Forest, or Leeds and scale back PSG investment

Well it was Roma they were supposedly investing in yesterday, so I'd take those rumours with a pinch of salt

Leeds would be my pick. I have varying degrees of fondness for the others.

There is an article in Le Parisien which basically says two things: Qatar are interested in Roma, whilst also cooling a bit on PSG:https://www.leparisien.fr/sports/football/psg/psg-le-qatar-se-pose-des-questions-01-05-2019-8064168.php But even re this latter, rather than pulling out, it is suggested that they may reduce their investment over the mid-term. (They're just about to complete a €300m Training Ground, and still talking of expanding the PDP, which hardly looks like disengagement). More generally, the Qataris are a bit disenchanted at the negative press they're getting in France, both from football specifically (eg don't get credit for signing galacticos like Neymar, which generates huge interest/TV money) and throughout France generally (eg they've paid over €1bn in taxes to the state). Consequently the paper suggests that they may turn to other countries to invest in football, inc England, where Qatari investment generally is more widely welcomed. The paper then suggests that this could mean three of the 2nd tier clubs you quote (not Leeds), but without a single source or quote to back it up: Obviously if they were interested in the Championship (stress the "if"), then Villa or Forest might be candidates, but QPR? sh*t squad, sh*t set-up, sh*t ground, poor support, basket-case management and heavily indebted - really can't see it, tbh.

Would like to see Villa, Forest and Leeds back in the Premier League due to their history. Never like QPR for some unknown reason
