Yeah the water softeners are a grand job . Cost you around €15 every month or so for the salt cubes . Worth it though if youre in a hard water area as your appliances last longer . Probably around the €600 mark to supply and fit a decent self-regenerating one . Where are you living ?
l hear you are a racist now, father ?

Are you retiling it? You can tile over them anyway. I know a lad who done this. A lot easier than tearing them up and trying to clear the adhesive underneath

Get a Stripper (Electric )Wink if they are really hard to get off ,if you are putting tiles over them you have to remove them ,or put new timber on top of them if possible i.e height of floor will be an issue here as youll have a different level to an adjacent floor ? also the timber floor will have to be screeded with levelling compound  and a mesh put on as the floor will move and Tiles will split or become loose .

HB questions I think you should put out .
Size of your house two story bungalow etc . When was the last time it was painted as maybe need an undercoat , power washed for sure needs to be done .
Now in Galway you can get away with around €300 a day for some lad in Mayo I was told €150 hey would trust a Mayo lad but there you do .

Just finishing painting the outside of the house, semi detached 3bed with pebble dashing, jaysus it's tough going, saving myself a fortune but dunno if I'd do it again.

Using a good quality paint so at least it's done for a good few years
