Easily the worst campaign Juventus have had in last 9 years. Interesting appointment with Pirlo but given the talent in the squad, if he does well, the opposition won't get close.

They won by a 1 point. 83 to 82. Yup, cruised it.

Pirlo, has all the attributes to be a successful manager based on his years of experience. I’m certain he’ll be a tactical wizard, but he’s going to lack the passion Conte has. It’s really hard to judge, Ole and Frank learnt the basics in lower clubs before going into the fire. But Pirlo is straight into it.

Italy could be very very interesting next year.

That's a tremendous vapid cliche

One you could say about literally any ex-footballer

Hope Solo for instance

She would do a great job at Juve

Strange appointment and seems like a bit of a stopgap in the mold of a Leonardo/F. Inzaghi/Seedorf/Giampaolo/Stramaccioni/Gattuso/Pioli/De Boer/Ranieri kind of appointment.

You'd expect Juve not to fall into the kind of trap that saw Inter and Milan lose so much ground over the years.

Does Pochettino not want the job because he wouldn't have complete autonomy?

I think it’s a poor decision by Juve.
He was only appointment U23 coach in June so they could have let him stay there with the target of him being first team manager in the future.

The gap is closing but Juve are still the best team in the league.
A top coach would have insured 10 in a row was achieved.

I disagree, even though I had a big bet on Juve to win the CL last summer after watching them a good bit pre Christmas I knew this side was nowhere near good enough to win it.

There are far too many passengers in that Juventus squad now and also the handing out of ridiculously high wages to Bosman signings has backfired spectacularly.

If Inter get their recruitment spot in the summer they will most definitely be there or thereabouts, whether Atalanta and Lazio can keep hold of all of their star players and recruit to the level required to win the league remains a mystery.

You would also expect Milan, Roma and Napoli to offer more of a fight to the top 4 going forward which represents it's own threat in regard to ruffling up the title race for the above names mentioned.

Higuain off to Inter Miami...

I was reading the story the other day of AC Monza, the Serie C club owned by Berlusconi and his cronies, signed a bunch of ageing Serie A players to start off with got promoted on points per game and given a budget of 30 million in Serie B.. Effectively the Salford City of the Italian leagues.

It solves the debate of which club in Milan to hate the most when they go up atleast.
