Apparently they didn't even run it past Boro before suggesting it. "Unbelievable, Jeff"

Does a deal have to be concluded before the end of the month or they'll lose their license? I'm sure there would be an extrension on that.
I haven't see it explained but what happens to the money to buy the club?

It would damage this forums' reputation

How many clubs is that now US majority owned? With Burnley gone it’s minus 1 but this adds 1 as does soon to be 49er takeovers of Leeds. The Arabs get a lot of attention but the the US ownership of the EPL. Quite a block in the membership meetings.
Are any fully English owned now?

Was hoping they would go bust - Oh well.
Obviously unfair to tar an entire fanbase with on brush but Chelsea seem to have more scumbags than most clubs so would have been delighted for them if that had happened.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld ethos: no hugging, no learning. There's never any repercussions for English teams. Rinse, repeat. Move on to the next money mark.

The PL as a collective just never learn - You look right now and you've got situations with Everton, Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle which are likely to be problematic to say the least but as long as the money comes from somewhere then they don't care.
