It was designed to facilitate a second series. I enjoyed it immensely, as I did the Hunger Games ( first one ) and the Purge movies. Some innovative social policy ideas in all for discerning governments interested in dealing with problems such as unemployment and burgeoning prison populations. The masses do love a good game show.

Have you seen Battle Royale? It's a Japanese movie upon which I assume The Hunger Games is loosely based (I stand to be corrected on that). The premise is a bit different but the result is the same with a bunch of kids on an island beating 7 shades of sh*te out of each other. To be warned, it's far more violent than Hunger Games. Great fun though.

Finished Squid Game. Thought it ended pretty well. I take it criticisms of the finale are based on the episode opening the door to a second series. Fine by me. There are more avenues you can take with this property, much like the Saw franchise.

‘You’ season 3 again another right balance between story, mystery, triller and a bit of humour. Really good show

Really? It shouldnt surprise me that they've managed 3 seasons as they all know how to flog a dead horse. I gave up after 3 episodes of season 1 as it was far too ridiculous. I always thought it was aimed at teenagers and burds.

Yea that’s as far as I got! The missus said the third season is very good but she hasn’t much taste in tv shows or men for that matter.

Well its number 1 in the charts so it's obviously not a dead horse and had a steady build up of a following from S1 to now.
I remember thinking it was really cheesy in the beginning too like an American soap or something but it really gets good when the killing starts
