Possibly the biggest game in Corinthians history tonight in the Copa Libertadores semi final second leg. Amazingly they have never even been to the final even though they are one of if not the biggest and richest club in Brazil. They are even more obsessed than the rest with trying to win it. All their major rivals have done it, most more than once.
The last time they really thought they'd win it, when Mascherano and Tevez were in the side, they lost to River Plate and the fans started a riot that got the game called off. Neymar & co have a tough task to try and make the same thing happen again tonight. 1-0 down from the first home leg they travel to Corinthians who have only conceded once in the competition so far, and conceded none at home. Corinthians are one of the most boring effective sides in World football at the moment so I hope they lose. A Boca - Corinthians final would be poison. Setanta and Premier Sports(UK) 01:45 2006 The fans have a chant schedule for tonight. "Remember: if you're going to the game, you're one of the chosen ones out of 33 million Corinthians fans. Do your part, don't stop singing!" Edited by tribalarmy - 20 Jun 2012 at 11:39pm |
