Welbeck seems a strange one. They bought two strikers plus Defoe and Morelos and he usually plays one. Never rated Welbeck, if he hadnt started at Utd dont think any of us would have heard of him.

I wasnt surprised with the Wilshere link has he had been bleating about a midfielder but they did sign some guy from French 2nd tier on deadline day.

Id imagine both would take no less than £25-30k per week. Not massive money and no fee but still a gamble with all the uncertainty plus as you mention their injury record.

A friend of a friend knows Steven Davis.  Told him they are throwing everything at stopping 10 and even if they do they will have an administration as it will be a price worth paying when the season ends!

Would have to agree with the above, and £25-£30k in the SPL seems quite high wages. Not sure who their highest paid would be at the moment. Read this, may explain Welbeck, but some difference in the teams linked with

  • Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has remained tight-lipped over his future after links to Qatari club Al Duhail and PSG.

You honestly believe Davis told you’re friend of friend that? No bitter hun would ever admit that.

Why would Davis now? He is a midfielder, not a director!

This guy is actually a businessman in Southampton who invested with Davis back when he was with them so i'd say it is quite credible.  They needed £10m in February to keep going until the end of the season and have no bank loan facilities so this is a likely scenario regardless of rumours.  They simply cannot sustain their spending and lockdown is not helping them either.

Slippy g has been cleared of criticising the ref in their game despite saying it clearly on tv cameras

Absolute joke

Hes been getting away with criticism of officials since his very first match v Aberdeen

Lennon would be on his 12th match ban by now

Absolute joke

Actually he was charged with "alleging bias or incompetence" on the part of the ref, not mere "criticism" of him.

And he wasn't "cleared", rather his case fell under that peculiarly Scottish concept of "Not proven".

From reading what he actually said, had the tribunal found him guilty, I suspect that he could have appealed on the grounds that his remarks merely alleged inconsistency on the ref's part, which would have been hard to disprove..

Meanwhile, it seems the remarks followed a case of a Rangers player being injured and stretchered off, with the opponent not receiving even a yellow card, never mind a red.

I always thought only Rangers ever benefited from their players escaping scot-free after injuring an opponent, no?

Not really.  If they stop 10 it gives them another 9 years breathing space  and they can wipe out millions of debt again.  These are bitter people who will do anything!

They had no luck on Saturday. Just a far better organised and managed team comfortably beating one that should really be beating them.

Another good result for Rangers tonight despite the handier group they got over Celtic.

In all fairness, Gerrard has gotten some decent results in Europe with Rangers over the last couple of years.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
