"I find it strange he feels the need to talk about Aberdeen so much," McInnes said of Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha.

"They should probably be embarrassed that they've not finished second. I think he likes to do a lot of talking."

"If he thinks that is doing brilliant at Rangers, being on the up by finishing ahead of Aberdeen, then he's clearly mistaken
His job as Rangers manager is to finish above Celtic and he should be more concerned about that challenge.

"For us, any team that finishes above Rangers in the league, with the budget they have, is doing their work well.
"And I think that any SPL (sic) manager, with the budget they have, would finish second in the league.

"The Rangers fans over the last few years have been used to either owners, managers or players saying what they want to hear but the reality is his job as Rangers manager is to finish above Celtic.
"If he thinks he's doing well by finishing above Aberdeen and the rest, he'll soon find out that's not enough."

The Dons boss was not happy the Sevco boss been speaking about one of his players (captain Ryan Jack)

"I think there is an unwritten rule within managers," he added. "There's always respect and he shouldn't be talking about any of my players in the manner in which he did.
"But each to their own. I firmly believe at this stage of the season, when a lot of rumours go flying about, I think it's important you don't comment on other team's players.
"But like I say, each to their own."

Real Madrid playing tonight, Italian Cup final, Championship playoff semi final, Monaco going for the title in France but you watch a team you claim to hate in a pointless end of season game.

If you have no interest in any of the other matches then why not watch a game where you can cheer for the team playing the team you hate? It's not that strange. If you think it is then maybe you are the one out of touch with what it means to be a supporter of a team and are just a consumer.

Pedro is a moonbeam extraordinare

"When our goal came, I really believed it was possible to draw the match. We keep fighting until the end but it was not possible so Aberdeen won the game.
“I am not focused on Aberdeen next season. The focus at this club is always to be number one. We don’t have a misunderstanding here.
“I am in this chair so I know what it means to represent this club. Many others would like to be here but they aren’t. That is the situation we need to deal with.
“I know what the job represents. I am here to defend the club and work for the club. That is what I am doing. We will speak for next season for sure.”

I think the only moonbeam is the one writing the commentsLOL If a Celtic manager said that in a hypothetical similar situation, you'd be jizzing yourself on his every wordLOL

Yeah, all pretty standard stuff. I do think he seems out of his depth though, he didn't seem to get either the rivalry between the two clubs or the gulf in class, even Graeme Murty got that! I think they had to take a gamble on a manager like Caixinha, the alternatives being 'ranjurs men' and continued disappointment,at least this brought with it a chance of improvement.
The fact he has a poor squad and little money won't help him, a lot of those players won't be up for moving on as they won't get their wages matched. He has a tough summer ahead of him.
I actually completely forgot they were playing last night, which kind of sums up where they are in terms of rivalry.

There was better managers available then Caixinha, particularly in the English game. Another issue he is starting to find out is a lot of his 'targets' have no interest, or cant work in the UK due to lack of international appearances particularly those from his Santos Laguna. Vladmir Weiss is one I could see coming back to Rangers however having worked with him previously.

Rangers are years behind Celtic, rebuilding that squad is going to take 4-5 years if not more I don't think it will be Pedro who leads them into the 'light'. He seems clueless, his post and pre match comments are absolutely absurd, his comments on McInnes being jealous of him having the Rangers job for example.

It was a Ronnie Deila style gamble. I don't think its going to work out.
Tommy Wright would have been a better shout

Pedro Mendes had a large part to play in getting Pedro Caixinha to Rangers. When was the last time a manager who managed in the domestic mexican league was successful in Europe? I'm going to assume it was La Liga? or Premeira Liga
