Wouldn't bother me hole. Far better places in Ireland to go. Recommend Sligo big time. Some cracking pubs there and it's full of non sl*g hens at the weekends.

Was just about the post this. If you get the weather it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Amazing. If you are stuck for something to do there walk to the valley of diamonds its a good bit away from the main beach but its just unreal in the sunshine. Sligo far better than Ballina even though I do like Ballina myself.

Mullaghmore is one of the most beautiful places in this island. Could imagine it in a weekend like this. Only been there in the winter and to see 15 foot waves bashing the sh*te out if the coast is something to be seen. Great place for surfing along with enniscrone and strand hill.

Have a house 1 mile from it

Surfing in Streedagh    Best Kept secret in Sligo

If your heading up that way   Benbulben Horse Shoe ( Gleniff) ( Ballinatrillick ) and Glencar Waterfall are 2 hidden gems.

I'd second this. Enniscrone is a decent spot.

It's San Tropez compared to the Coventry that is Ballina.

Agree with all these daboi89 Clap..........Streedagh has to be the windiest beach in the world......anytime of year.

Was over last weekend (sadly for a family funeral) but as I hadn't been home for a good few years I revisted the hidden gems you mentioned (and a few others)
