Think that he was always 1st choice....that koulibaly talk was all a smoke screen....he’s a rolls Royce center half though.he could do with a rest just for protection plus Laporte could do with a run.

Disagree, keep this partnership intact
Laporte can get a run out in the cup games

He’s a model for an injury...he’s played every game since he arrived, pep has a history of running vital players into the ground....Laporte needs game time.

I’ve famously said on here for years that when David Silva retired City wouldn’t sign a replacement as Phil Foden was being coached into being that.
I was wrong, in a way. Yes they didn’t sign a replacement for Silva, but Foden is actually turning out to be Leroy Sane’s replacement

I still think he’ll move into that no.10 role as he gets older....he just doesn’t have a wingers speed.but can you imagine the player he’ll be at 27/28....he could be right up there.thought stones/Dias were brilliant again tonight, more so Dias...he’s really turning into the new Kompany.

Yeah I’d agree on Foden eventually being a 10

De Bruyne out for 4-6 weeks. Will miss Liverpool away, Spurs at home, first leg of the CL game and possibly Man U game at home

They said there’d be no Cheltenham this year LOL

Hope they hang on.

They were like Annie Power at the last
So near yet so far

It wouldn’t be a disaster getting knocked out of one of the cups early in this of all seasons. Obviously not an embarrassing exit like Cheltenham though

LOL Fitting them all in?

No room for Sterling, Sancho or Rashford?

Foden went to St Bede's in Manchester, same school as Irish international Mike Milligan, and brothers Michael and Will Keane.

Have seen a few saying that United dodged a bullet with Sancho and that he's been off form this season for Dortmund.
They've some array of talent to pick from in that position anyway, when the likes of Grealish and Maddison are not even starters.
Mason Mount wouldn't be in the same league IMO

He hasn’t been in sparkling form, injury hampered him earlier in the season! Last few weeks he has been excellent again!

Foden is England’s best midfielder, a class act.
