How long is Pep going to persist with Aguero being the penalty taker for?

He’s brutal at them

His improvement under Pep is unreal.

With better finishing he could have an unbelievable season. I think he got about 25 goals the last 2 seasons but really should have had more. Gets his fair share of assists too.

Once again City’s bench was really strong.
I was surprised MOTD said Liverpool will win the league.

For me Man City to win 3 in a row and with 90+ points again.

Allison out for 8 weeks could be disastrous for Liverpool
They were very lucky with injuries last season, with I think Alexander being the only starter that was out for an extended period of time
Saying that, Adrian is a much better option to have than Migolet and Karius

I think you could see the improvement in his finishing last season.
He still misses the odd blooper but is definitely on another level in terms of end product than he was a few years ago

51 games last season, 25 goals and 18 assists

Should PG achieve that, he will become only the 2nd manager in the entire history of the 1st Division/Premier Lge to win three in succession, after you-know-who.

Other teams have won 3 in a row (Arsenal 33-35 and Liverpool 82-84), but each changed manager after the first two.

Yes the great Herbert Chapman would have done it twice if he didnt leave Huddersfield after the 2nd to join Arsenal. And if he hadnt died after Arsenal won their 2nd.

Aye, but while Herbert Chapman was manager for the first two of those seasons (1923/24 and 1924/25), he left to join Arsenal the following season, when they finished 2nd - 5 points behind Huddersfield, now managed by Cecil Potter.

(Hudds also finished 2nd in both 1926/27 and 1927/28 btw, whilst also being beaten FA Cup Finalists in the latter season)

If it was a very bad one, it would be disastrous for City's season. Stones and Otamendi are clearly 2 player Guardiola doesn't fully trust.

Laporte has had surgery on his knee. Cartilage and lateral meniscus damage.
No word on how long he'll be out for, but it wasn't the ACL which has to be good news
