I too agree with the statement re UFEA but for them to erect it when they did was ridiculous. As for their troops, yes I don't agree with everything they are doing but the British Army do a hell of a lot more good than bad. Yes they are responsible for some ugly, horrible attacks in Ireland but that is in the past and as hard as it may be for some people we have to move on. As unlikely as it may be, say Ireland were under a mass terrorist attack in the morning, the British army would be over here straight away offering us assistance and lets face it they would be a hell of a lot more useful than our lot. They are over in Afghanistan and Iraq representing and fighting for the land where Celtic is situated, it isn't a very nice thing for Celtic's fans to say is it? |

While the violence during that protest was uncalled for and a lot of the rioters were just little scrotes who were only looking for an excuse to cause trouble on the day the Love Ulster parade itself was a farce of an idea organised by bigot willie frazer purely just to rub their orangeness into the faces of the people of Ireland. The violence and vandalism that followed the initial protest was wrong but Im delighted them w**kers were not allowed march past the GPO.

The fact is Celtic gave Irish immigrants an identity in Glasgow and beyond , people were starving on the streets yet everyone at the club rallied around to help feed and cloth the poor Catholics in Glasgow. Celtic are proud of having an Irish founder , the club boasts a Tri-Colour out of appreciation to Ireland , so when your wearing your Arsenal , Liverpool , Man United or Everton tops ask yourself wtf has that club done for the people of Ireland.

I would considers Celtics support a hell of a lot worse than the ones I have highlighted. I don't honestly know who have the worst set of supporters between the two old firms and I don't really care tbh. Of course there are much worse fans in world football than Celtic/Rangers, I only have to turn on five minutes of a Russian league match to see that. In fact I don't even think Celtic's fans are the worst in Britain/Ireland, that would go to Millwall or even Linfield(they seem to be the biggest bunch of bigots on the planet) I don't tarnish ALL Celtic fans with that brush, they are plenty of Celtics fans on this board(I have never meet you but could confidently include you in this bracket) who have a love for the club and don't support them to hate Rangers. Sadly Celtic fans like that are in the minority imo.

The cheek of willy frazer to comment how we didnt move on in the south when ian paisley was chewing at his teeth in agreeing to power sharing and his beloved days of iron fist unionist control was over.
Im glad the orange bastards wernt allowed to march past the GPO for selfish reasons but at the end of the day unionism is as much part of our culture as nationalism whether we like it or not.unionism is represented in a third of our national flag and and therefore they are entitled to march as much as i dislike and am offended by it. What makes me laugh about unionist flutefaces calling the tri colour a fenian flag.the fcukin eejits are represented on the flag.its the most unsectarian flag you could think of |

Jealous Of what exactly do I have to be jealous of? Everyone is free to support who they wish, most of my friends support foreign teams, I don't hold it against anybody. It does baffle me how so many Irish people choose to support teams abroad most of them to the detriment of local football, but as I said, it's their choice. These Irish connections of Man Utd and Liverpool, do they extend beyond snapping up Irish players though the years, playing a few games here or there, or having the odd high profile club official hail from here. Or is it because many Irish moved to these cities and started to follow them, pretty much like Celtic for example. |
