While the violence during that protest was uncalled for and a lot of the rioters were just little scrotes who were only looking for an excuse to cause trouble on the day the Love Ulster parade itself was a farce of an idea organised by bigot willie frazer purely just to rub their orangeness into the faces of the people of Ireland. The violence and vandalism that followed the initial protest was wrong but Im delighted them w**kers were not allowed march past the GPO.

I too agree with the statement re UFEA but for them to erect it when they did was ridiculous. As for their troops, yes I don't agree with everything they are doing but the British Army do a hell of a lot more good than bad. Yes they are responsible for some ugly, horrible attacks in Ireland but that is in the past and as hard as it may be for some people we have to move on. As unlikely as it may be, say Ireland were under a mass terrorist attack in the morning, the British army would be over here straight away offering us assistance and lets face it they would be a hell of a lot more useful than our lot. They are over in Afghanistan and Iraq representing and fighting for the land where Celtic is situated, it isn't a very nice thing for Celtic's fans to say is it? |

Jackshat by you actually saying every club has a poor section of supporters and referring to Celtic's as taking the piss , your argument is slightly flawed because if i typed in images of hate from Chelsea , Liverpool , Millwall , Rangers , Man United fans etc etc into google i would find shocking images too. I could pick and choose what images i felt were the worst to take the heat off Celtic but would i bother?

i dont understand celtic fans hatred of the poppy.its in remembrence of soldiers that died thousands of which were irish.its not promoting britains colonial past but the memory of people that died needlessly. As for the banners and the 66 jersey celtic no more than any other club needs to root out these scumbags from their support.also what bolloxx of a jersey printer allowed your man to get that on his jersey.there was a father and his 4 year old daughter who were city fans wearing a t shirt saying Headless 58.its sad when fans of any club resort to that kind of stuff |

@ Jackshat the deeds of the British army in Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan would shame the devils in hell. A spelling mistake although silly on an otherwise well planned series of banners, is hardly reason to hate. As for the UEFA banner, I for one agree with the sentiment and would extend it to FIFA.
Some absolutely ridiculous reasons here from people who also supportt British Clubs, most of who all claim a little Irish connection here or there. |
