Doesn’t mean he hasn’t been poor in games all year.

If you want negative reviews of one of our players, you will find them and vice-versa.

It was an analogy. Where else do you get your general information if you haven’t watched a player in general only 2nd hand. Social media and forums is a huge barometer of course you don’t take everything as gospel I don’t. Just a general guide. Not withstanding of course watching games is the No.1 barometer I don’t dispute that for a second.

That’s not the point.  Would you be the type of Manager who blames a player for a mistake only when it ends up in a goal or to blame a player privately even if he gets away with it.  The great managers spot the errors all the time even if they don’t end up in the net or they are 2 or 3 phases before the goal.

Actually thought Doherty looked good. Linked up well with Bale, constant outlet and did what he had to defensively.

Probably a bit harsh but Doherty doesn't look in great shape either
