Who signed him?

Jose I thought he was poor for second goal and had a poor game

Yes Jose wins games, his players lose them.

I think he's out of his depth at Spurs unfortunately.

Doherty poor letting Mane turn him but it’s Lloris to blame for that not Doherty.  Spaghetti would show more sturdiness trying to save that relatively harmless shot from Mane. Pathetic goalkeeping.

Dier and Lloris for the first and Rodon for the 3rd feel sorry for him he mightn’t see gametime off the back of that for a while.

Was poor from Spurs and Doherty gave the ball away a lot hed a bad game. Most of the team bar Holjberg were very poor mind and even Holjberg was guilty of the odd mistake.

For a few of the goals when Liverpool scored and it cut to Jose you could see him saying Matt, Matt. I'd say their personalitys  don't match

Looks like he'll get an extended run now. Reports that Aurier left the stadium at half time after being taken off

Jose may either love or hate that.  He didn’t like it in Ali and has frozen him out as a result.  Aurier is a mistake waiting to happen.

Spurs defensive tactics covered how poor some of their defenders are esp when you play aurier and Roden and Dier.   Centre backs and full backs love when 10 men are behind the ball.  Makes them look good.

Doherty’s was praised for his goals and assists for wolves. He was an integral part of nuno’s system. However did Doherty cross the ball much for wolves. He made very good inverted runs into the box which resulted in goals or he cut the ball back to a team mate. The only reason I bring this up is that I noticed anytime he got one on one with a Liverpool full back mid week he would just pass it back or sideways. I never understood why mourinho went for him as he usually plays with a back 4 but I hope Doherty can turn it around. Hopefully he comes off bench and makes an impact tonight.

Was he even a Mourinho signing? The article I linked would suggest it was more complicated than that.

Roden is playing left centre back.  Sanchez is playing right centre back and Sissoko is playing right midfield

Its a bit worrying that we dont have a single player playing well in the premier league.

You look to the championship and Knight is looking ok as with Collins... cant really say there's another player beyond that.

So far I'd see the next ireland team as

                  Randolph

    Coleman Egan Clarke Stevens

      Knight Hourihane hendrick

       Robinson Connolly Brady

Doesnt really strike fear to be honest

Egan, Clark Brady and O’Shea are the 3 that have really played okay. Hendrick has played okay too at times.

Egan has played really well for Sheffield despite their dismal run of form. Only for him they would be worse again.

As for Doherty Spurs are down 1-0 again here. Aurier and Doherty have become 2 very convienent scapegoats for Spurs recently.

There problems are bigger then them. Lloris was shocking for the first 2 goals the other night and Rodon made a howler for the 3rd.

Aurier supposedly had a barny with the special one, only one winner there.
