Manager Jose Mourinho faces an uncertain future at Tottenham with chairman Levy harbouring doubts over the 58 year-olds chances of succeeding at the club. Football eh..

Doherty is an easy target for JM - not playing well, not a fans favourite, not an English international so media won’t be defending him, etc...  Hopefully he’ll outstay Jose.

I’d he moves, gets more game time so be it. He’ll also take his salary increase from his Wolves days with him.

Yeah because Dele Alli is getting preferential treatment

you are correct - the Alli situation is an odd one - they could have let him go and Jose would be not have to worry about him until the summer at least.

Harry winks is not getting preferential treatment either so we can rule out the English element to it.

If you look at the defence, beside Dier , they have all been in and out of the team which is very unlike Jose.
Too many costly mistakes and last minute goals will have annoyed him. I’m sure he wants a consistent back line he can trust.
Doherty is not his only problem.

Mourinho is a toxic ***t. Has continuosly ruined careers everywhere he has gone. Club buy a player and Mourinho freezes them out or causes a career regression because of some weird obsession and mentality or great player at the club and Jose arrives, Jose doesnt like him. Why, who f**kin knows.

I love when a player escapes his management and goes on to good things.

Has he left a legacy or a squad capable of doing anything after he has left? Honest question?

Spurs will be done with him at a huge expense soon enough. They deserve it.

Would be surprised if Doherty isn't still at the club by the time Mourinho gets the sack.

He does have to take some accountability for his own performances though.

Real Madrid didn’t do too badly in champions league after he left but I agree with everything you say.

I don’t think Mourinho will be there if they don’t make the champions league. Levy has invested far too much to not see results this season. They’ve got a ridiculous, expensive squad and a brand new stadium to pay for

The Spurs bench vs West Ham

Substitutes

  • 2 Doherty (s 46')
  • 4 Alderweireld
  • 8 Winks
  • 9 Bale (s 46')
  • 12 Hart
  • 17 Sissoko
  • 20 Alli (s 77')
  • 33 Davies
  • 45 Vinicius
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

he’d be expensive to get rid of and who takes over - that’s the dilemma - a europa league win would steady things a bit. They’ll cash in on some of the above in the summer if no champions league.

Has Solskjaer has shown, pretty much any manager is better than mourinho at the moment. He’s toxic

Spurs should get Brendan Rogers.  He got loads of stick from Celtic fans for leaving but it was the correct decision and he has done a great job at Leceister.  Would he leave who knows.  Liverpool city and items won’t appoint him, so only leaves Chelsea Spurs and Arsenal really with Spurs the most likely to approach him.

The dog on the street knew how this would turn out and its goin to script.

Begs the question is Levy believed differently or just accepted the end-result and hoped for a title or close in the two good years?
Regardless, the death-spiral has begun.

Latter I reckon. Levy probably thought he might get a credible title challenge and perphaps a trophy out of it before the sh*t hit the fan. They may yet win the League Cup or Europa League but they'd be better off getting rid in the summer regardless

Heard reports that it would cost Tottenham 35million to sack Mourinho.. if true, Tottenham simply can't afford it.

Cant see mourinho leaving anytime soon.

Aurier actually played well Sunday really well. If you are him youd be frustrated you weren’t playing if we are being cold about it.

It seems he just swaps the 2 of them every 2nd game regardless 😂
