.Think Park's fee might have went up because his military services got put off for like 10 years or something. As you say an awful lot of dead wood can't even get rid of Squillaci on a free due to wage demands

Park was bought to sell shirts in Asia. Wenger didn't and doesn't rate him.
RVP saga will run and run, until he's sold. Sold he will be sadly.
Arsenal at board level have neither the courage, nor the interest in competing at top level in European Football any longer.
I don't like a lot of what Usmanov stands for and his shady past is very disqueting. however, the time has come for Arsenal to decide if they are to become a feeder club for Man City, Chelsea and Man United (gulp) as well as for Real, Barca and any other club serious about winning the CL.
Until a new board arrives, we can expect the haemmorhage of Arsenal's best players to continue.
Song will probably be next, or the Ox, if Arsene decides to play him this season.
Very sad to see a team being dismantled by the board, and Arsene's lack of professional ambition, rather than anything else.
Arsenal were in a better financial position than virtually every other club in Europe, but have balked at stumping up the cash to ensure they kept their best players.
New board required. Or Wenger needs to fight to keep RVP and threaten to walk if RVP goes.

why would they go for him , they have Szcesney....he is decent ...I would be very surprised if they were will to spend £16 million on a goalie they dont really need....or even put Scezney on their bench
What is your source ?

Agree with you to a certain extent. Szczensy was dodgy for the last 5 games or so but I would be in favor of bringing a new GK in. But would not spend 15 million on a keeper who isn't that much older than him. That money could definitely be put to better use. Need an experienced goal keeper like Schwarzer or someone else of similar experience for a couple of years that wont break the bank. Szczensy will be under pressure from Damian Martinez in a few years. Arsenal should be sorted goal keeper wise in the long run but do need someone reliable for the short term and try get Szczensy a loan to a PL club with a clause that he can be called back at any time.

Maybe they realise that when they sell RVP the goals will be hard to come by so instead they're gonna play with two keepers to make sure they don't concede.... just a thought!

149 games in 8 seasons, good player when he played, but missed far too many games to be considered great. He's had a great season and a half, and wants to earn double so just another case of a mercenary footballer. Certainly not a Arsenal legend

He would be, and he'd be within his rights to jack it in after having to take all of the flak from the fickle fans for the board's enforced tight purse strings. All the fans who have been calling for his head the past three years will only realise once he's gone how lucky we are to have him.

Ye I know load of gobsh*tes can't see how people are blaming Wenger and not the board. He has worked miracles with his budget. I am friends with one of these people who want Wenger out and around October I asked him who should replace him and he goes Coyle........
