Ive the fire-stick and sub and its virtually perfect. The EPL had the servers blocked yesterday for games just as they kicked off but it was back up and running again in minutes. Perfect today. The boxes are sh*te though and dont last unless you buy a top range one. If you can, get your mates firestick and try it on your BB and see how it works.

Cheers. Only paid 60 beans for a years sub but one of the lads paid 120 for a firestick and his is working fine.
Was buffering away like mad for the united game last night. Checked the broadband speed and was very slow according to my phone. Netflix streams fine though. Bad broadband or bad android box and sub?

Gave up on the boxes. Any time a big match was on it was blocked or buffered like hell!

Dodgy box as in Android box? They’re fairly sh*te anyway unless you cough a decent wedge for a good one.
There are boosters you can get but not sure how good they are. Google the modem make and model and see whats being said. You will be able to log into the modem and can change frequency but check the router out online first.

Got a dodgy box the other day and find it's lagging particularly at night. Brosdband is sky and goes very slow at night.
Anyone any ideas why or ways to improve it?

Is Vodafone not being able to supply your new address with Broadband mean that you cannot get fixed lin BB at all?
If so, you could have a look at https://www.three.ie/plans/mobile-broadband/bill-pay/ If fixed line is available https://digiweb.ie/superfast-home-broadband-introductory-offer/ |

Need a new broadband provider, any good deals. I had a good deal with Vodafone where it was €20 for 6 months. But as I'm moving they can't provide braodband to my house so only had the €45 for 4 months
Thnak you in advance Sham

Hopefully you don't have any problems with them because if you do their customer service is brutal

Just click the Broadband only tab. Vodafone is still the cheapest overall. Dont be fooled by cheap introductory offers. The total cost per year is provided also below the monthly cost in smaller print. I've had no issues at all with speeds or otherwise with Vodafone. Edited by Sham157 - 09 Feb 2017 at 2:24pm |

If it's broadband only Bob you want check out Vodafones simply broadband which will be through the phone line or imagine WiMAX which is €19pm after a €150 initial installation/equip charge.

I see Eircom are doing FTTH broadband trials in Belcarra Mayo and are getting speeds over 900mb.
Would a certain Mr. Kenny live in that area? |

Probably has been asked to death but looking to change broadband provider.
Currently have Sky TV, broadband and talk which is coming in too expensive. Broadband and Talk alone is €40pm (€30 for talk and the other €10 for broadband. I imagine the reason Sky talk is so expensive is you have to pay for the line rental? Anyway, looking for a decent broadband (would be using it for streaming). Could live without a house phone. Any recommendations? |

You can but it's an extra €7.88 pm if you don't have a tv or phone package as well. Think their basic broadband is €25 pm for 20mb so it would be €32.88 pm. It's great broadband in fairness. |
