Another brutal start, we always seem to have an issue with early wickets, have done for a long time

Superb innings from Sterling and Balbirnie. Pity there wasn't a crowd there tonight

Brilliant, great win after the two comprehensive enough drubbings

Any thought of watching the play off went out the window early on after the solid start to the chase

Brilliant chase! Willey made a balls of it handing the match to Ireland! That was the turning point. Held their nerve really well

This year, we've beaten the World Champions at T20 away from home, and  the World Champions at ODI away from home. We should have won at least one ODI in the West Indies, also, only for Mark Adair to drop the ball in front of the stumps trying to run out the last man in the last over.

The change of captaincy from Porterfield to Balbirnie has worked also. We're still not winning enough matches, but whilst the old reliables are still contributing, there is a fresh wave of players coming through, and will hopefully get even better over time.

The first two ODI's were difficult to watch, but the 10 points won in the last game, could be the difference between getting to the next WC and staying at home again.
VAR: Cutting the crap out of football.

The next tour is to Abu Dhabi UAE, for 4 ODI's against them, then 3 more ODI there against Afghanistan which are also WCQ.

First game is today, with a 2 day gap to all the other UAE games. We bat first, and set 269/5.

Premier Sports are showing it live.

Put up 228/6 earlier, should've been a somewhat manageable chase for UAE, instead we have them at 94/8

Disaster of a finish to the bowling innings and not pulling up any trees with the batting.

112-4 off 23 over chasing 287.

I don't believe they are - The boss of Cricket Ireland had to give them a loan last year I believe but this was all done in the proper way!
UAE have been keen to promote themselves as a venue for Cricket for a number of years so I think there will be incentives in place for teams to go there.
