Great servant, would have been nice to see himself, Duffer etc. back in the LOI for a year, would have been a nice way to finish up their careers.

I was hopeful of that too. Would love to see Dunne do some coaching here. |

Only seen this news in the Mirror so far. No direct quotes. Is it certain?

The biggest compliment Dunne could ever get came from McGrath who viewed his performance in Moscow as better than McGraths against Italy.
To me they were both excellent in different ways. McGrath had to deal with Baggio a world class player but Dunne played in a much poorer Ireland team. I really don't think one was better than the other tbh. Edited by irishmufc - 31 May 2015 at 6:51pm |

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Mc Grath by far the better of the 2, but 2 brilliant servants of the national team

McGrath was simply world class. I love Dunney but he wasn't. In terms of the two performances, I don't think one would be better than the other as they were excellent in their own respects. The Italian result would have been more important ultimately. |

If he is injury free could still do a job. Expect Hull to sign him on a one year deal.

Not surprising. If Dunne retires, there will be an announcement, not a rumour emanating from the Mirror.

Hope he gets a decent contract for 1 or 2 years - well deserved. Great servant for Ireland.
