I was in chapters in Dublin a good few years ago looking at a book about Norman. Suddenly this very grand booming voice next to me said "that man is the most vile man in show business, no one who's worked with him has a good word to say about him!"

He was some English actor who'd been in something with him. The odd thing is I was only looking at it because my mam always hated Norman Wisdom and I was thinking of getting her the book to take the piss out of her.

Chapters is one of my few good memories of Dublin, largely because there was so few Dubs in there. Then again, it is a bookshop.
